Expedition Unknown

Have you ever had something from your childhood that you have always remembered fondly? I have several, but something today brought back this flood of joy from my 5th grade year.

A wonderful teacher was always stretching our minds to think bigger than our little school house with the outside toilets.

This one semester she was having the whole class pick a foreign place for our next project. When asked to be thinking about what foreign country I would choose I couldn’t wait to get home and look at our globe. I was so excited. Each week we had to do research on the topic they chose. I couldn’t wait to see what each week would bring. The flag, flower, clothing, etc. One week it was food. We all had to bring in something to share with the class to try from our country.

Where to today?

I found this globe today on clearance, I just had to buy it. I want to share the world with my grandbabies. Wonderful teachers can take you just about anywhere you want to go!

I plan to visit my country one day, the good Lord willing!

Do you have a favorite childhood memory from school? I would love to hear about it!

And so it begins……

Welcome to my first post. I have been procrastinating for months on what I want this blog to bring forth. I am not sure I still know where this is going to lead, but if I don’t start….. It isn’t going to take me anywhere.

I am a person who is all over the place and no place at the same time. Did someone say SQUIRREL! I enjoy the outdoors and travel as much as I can. I love to try new things and step outside my comfort zone. This didn’t use to be the case though. Educating myself has helped in overcoming some of those anxieties and fears that was apart of my childhood.

It’s time to share a piece of my world with you and hope you will enjoy all that I bring to the table. I would love to hear from you. Leave me a note to let me know what I can do to improve my blog or what you like that you want to see more of as it progresses.

Thanks for reading! God bless.
